Subject: [Community-desktop] Title tag not carried over into Plone
Message-ID: <0A84AE5E2439B24BBF43653CA2ABB456138554@ATLDCSEXCH01.scthelp.com>
Wow! I just installed Enfold Desktop and it worked like a charm!
I tried Desktop because I read that using WebDAV to import html files
into Plone should result in the Plone file using the
tag as the
Plone title. I have hundreds of html files that I import into Plone.
When I use FTP, the Plone titles all end up using the file name, such as
"ch01.html" and "ch02.html".
However, in my first Desktop tests, I get the same result. Desktop
doesn't seem to be pulling the title tag into the Plone title. Is this
supposed to work?
Thanks,
Bob

Hi
We've got an issue with Enfold Deskop not connecting to our Enfold Server
intranet.
The address for our server is correct and it is running and browsable via
http.
The documentation says that Enfold Desktop will work 'out of the box' with
Enfold Server.
Our Enfold Server version is a demo one just now.
Do we require a licence key to be installed?
Thanks

Not at all. What is the problem? Goto your enfold server - click
'contents' then click the icon that says 'open in desktop' next to
print, email to friend, etc.
Cheers

Hi Michael,
What errors do you get? If they relate to seat licenses, please restart
both of your services and your licenses will be reset. Otherwise, please
tell us what the errors say, and send us your "enfold_desktop.log" file from
your TEMP directory if you can find it.
Thanks,
Mark

Hi
This is the error. It's obviously to do with the default Plone site which is
/Plone. If I create another site I can access it using /site

Subject: [Community-desktop] Enfold Desktop Road Map?
Message-ID: <134b8b710706120826i49db9b71k9c05368090e90fc9@mail.gmail.com>
Hi
Just a few questions on Enfold Desktop.
Just wondering if it is open source? Would it be possible to hook into it to
export a site folder structure and underlying files for non ZODB back-up
purposes?
Is there a plan to include the ability to tag content with keywords in ED.
That would be very useful. Or even for content to take the keywords of the
parent folder?
Finally what about versioning and CMFEditions. Is there a plan to include
that at all?
Thanks for much

Desktop is not open source. You should be able to drag n drop site
content from your ZODB into your filesystem. But each file needs to
have a DAV representation.

Very possible ;)

Yes. We do. But do not expect that until Plone 3.0 maintenance
releases start appearing and are proclaimed stable.

on the Enfold Desktop icon in the site interface. However this only gives
errors. Is that what you mean?

Wow! I just installed Enfold Desktop and it worked like a charm!
I tried Desktop because I read that using WebDAV to import html files
into Plone should result in the Plone file using the tag as the
Plone title.

Thanks

Hi Michael,
What errors do you get? If they relate to seat licenses, please restart
both of your services and your licenses will be reset. Otherwise, please
tell us what the errors say, and send us your "enfold_desktop.log" file from
your TEMP directory if you can find it.
Thanks,
Mark

Message-ID: <0A84AE5E2439B24BBF43653CA2ABB456138554@ATLDCSEXCH01.scthelp.com>
Wow! I just installed Enfold Desktop and it worked like a charm!
I tried Desktop because I read that using WebDAV to import html files
into Plone should result in the Plone file using the tag as the
Plone title.

Cheers

Wow! I just installed Enfold Desktop and it worked like a charm!
I tried Desktop because I read that using WebDAV to import html files
into Plone should result in the Plone file using the tag as the
Plone title.

Thanks

Hi Michael,
What errors do you get? If they relate to seat licenses, please restart
both of your services and your licenses will be reset. Otherwise, please
tell us what the errors say, and send us your "enfold_desktop.log" file from
your TEMP directory if you can find it.
Thanks,
Mark

Wow! I just installed Enfold Desktop and it worked like a charm!
I tried Desktop because I read that using WebDAV to import html files
into Plone should result in the Plone file using the tag as the
Plone title.

Cheers

Message-ID: <0A84AE5E2439B24BBF43653CA2ABB456138554@ATLDCSEXCH01.scthelp.com>
Wow! I just installed Enfold Desktop and it worked like a charm!
I tried Desktop because I read that using WebDAV to import html files
into Plone should result in the Plone file using the tag as the
Plone title.

Thanks

Hi Michael,
What errors do you get? If they relate to seat licenses, please restart
both of your services and your licenses will be reset. Otherwise, please
tell us what the errors say, and send us your "enfold_desktop.log" file from
your TEMP directory if you can find it.
Thanks,
Mark
