We have tested as far as Plone 2.1, but not Plone 2.0.5.

Yes and No. Only the file content will be transferred on a default
setup. But if you configure the Marshaller Registry to use ATXML on
both sites, then it could work. We have used ATXML to import content
in the past, though not using Enfold Desktop. Let us know if you get
it working so we can spread the word.
